We generally assume that if we drive carefully on the road, we can avoid all accidents. However, this cannot be any further from the truth. Sometimes accidents can happen because of other people’s faults as well. Recently, a prime example of this was shared online. In this particular accident, a Mahindra Scorpio-N got completely crushed after it got rear-ended by a speeding, uncontrolled truck. Thankfully, there were no deaths involved in this horrific accident.
Mahindra Scorpio-N gets crushed
The video of this terrible accident has been shared on YouTube by Prateek Singh. It starts off with the presenter mentioning that this video was submitted to him by one of his viewers. He added that this particular accident of the Mahindra Scorpio-N took place near Pimpri Chinchwad, Maharashtra.
Following this, he states that as per the reports, a trailer was driving on a road where it was being closely followed by a Mahindra Scorpio-N. What happens next is that the trailer driver, for some reason, slams the brakes and stops. Soon after this, the Mahindra Scorpio-N driver also does the same.
What happened after that?
Unfortunately, the truck that was driving just behind the Mahindra Scorpio-N could not brake on time. The result of this was that the truck crashed into the rear end of the Mahindra Scorpio-N. The video then shows that the Scorpio-N rear-ended the trailer and got crushed between the two trucks.
Aftermath of the accident
The video then shows the condition of the Mahindra Scorpio-N. It can be noted that the entire front end of the vehicle has been destroyed. This includes both headlights, bonnet, bumper, grille, and most components of the engine. Additionally, the entire rear portion of the SUV has also been destroyed.
We can note from the footage that the third-row portion of this SUV has merged into the second row. Both the middle doors have also been crushed, including the roof as well. Only the front driver and passenger sections of the SUV seem to have survived this accident.
Did passengers survive?
By looking at the condition of the Scorpio-N after the accident, many people might believe that nobody in the car would have survived after being sandwiched between two trucks. However, thankfully, no passenger died despite this intensive accident.
It has not been reported how many people were inside this Mahindra Scorpio-N at the time of the accident. However, most likely there could be only two passengers sitting in the front section of this SUV. This is because, from the looks of the body of the Scorpio-N, it would have been very difficult for any person to survive in the middle and rear rows.
Not the first such incident
These types of accidents are not very uncommon on Indian roads. On the contrary, they happen quite often. Last year, a video showing the aftermath of an accident where a Hyundai Verna was crushed between two trucks was shared online.
What happened in this particular accident was that a driver of a black Hyundai Verna was overtaking a truck from the left-hand side. Unfortunately, he could not spot a truck parked on the left side, and the truck driver on the right swerved left.
Due to this, the Hyundai Verna got crushed between these two trucks on the highway. This accident was reported from West Bengal. Thankfully, there were only two passengers inside the Hyundai Verna, and they both were safe. It was reported that as the doors were completely destroyed, they had to come out of the sunroof.
