The Lincoln Navigator is set to receive a substantial and much-needed facelift to compete with the recently updated Cadillac Escalade. Following a set of revealing spy shots provided by our reader Sach Mathur, our colleagues at Kolesa have created detailed renderings of the updated SUV, offering a clearer view of what to expect.

The current, fourth-generation Lincoln Navigator debuted in 2017 and received its first facelift in 2021. Now, three years later, it’s due for a more extensive update to better compete with newer rivals.

As shown in the rendering by Kolesa, the 2025 Navigator will adopt styling cues from the smaller Lincoln Nautilus. The front end will be fully redesigned with a larger grille, sharper LED headlights, and wider bumper intakes.

The profile’s sheet metal will remain largely unchanged, aside from updated quarter panels, sleeker roof rails, and added chrome on the rear beltline. Expect new wheel designs, color options, and redesigned mirror caps.

Changes at the back are equally extensive as the front, with a new and slimmer full-width LED bar replacing the outdated taillights of the current model. The tailgate and rear bumper are also expected to be altered, in line with Lincoln’s latest styling language.
Since the last 2021 facelift, the luxury SUV landscape has evolved rapidly. To remain competitive, the Lincoln Navigator requires a substantial interior refresh. In response to the Cadillac Escalade’s expansive 55-inch display, the Navigator could a scaled-down version of the Nautilus’ 48-inch screen, complemented by a more driver-focused 11.1-inch touchscreen.
While substantial changes to the chassis and powertrain are unlikely, the current twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6, producing 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, is expected to carry over. This engine will continue to be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Given the recent spotting of a lightly camouflaged prototype in Florida, the unveiling of the 2025 Lincoln Navigator appears imminent. We anticipate an official debut in the coming months.
