Two things that have become extremely popular in India are sunroofs and the Hyundai Creta. Now you may think that is a good thing; however, in recent times, both have become infamous for being used recklessly. A number of people have been seen standing out of the sunroof of a moving car. And we all know how Hyundai Creta drivers have gained a reputation for being reckless. Recently, a video was shared online in which both of these things were seen at the same time.
This video of a reckless Hyundai Creta with a woman standing out of the sunroof has been shared online. It comes courtesy of Nikhil Rana. In this short video, the creator mentions that it was recorded on a dashcam of a car that was on the Mangalore highway, Madikeri road.
Following this, he explains and shows what happens in the video. It starts with the car approaching a blind turn on the road. And just in front, there was a white Hyundai Venue sub-compact SUV that was driving under the speed limit.
The video then shows that out of nowhere, a black Hyundai Creta overtakes the car with the dashcam and suddenly brakes. This hard braking was done to avoid colliding with a Toyota Etios sedan that was coming from the opposite lane. This particular incident was especially more dangerous because there was a blind turn ahead.
Woman out of the sunroof
Apart from the reckless driving behavior of the Hyundai Creta owner, we can also note that there was a woman standing out of the panoramic sunroof of the Creta. It can be observed that because of the hard braking, this girl also slightly lost her balance.
However, despite this, the Creta driver did not ask her to step down; rather, he made the blind turn with the woman still out of the sunroof. Thankfully, this Creta did not get involved in a serious accident on the road. However, this does not mean that such driving should be promoted.
Not the first such incident
This is not the first time that we have seen people standing out of the sunroof of a Hyundai Creta. A while ago, a video of three women sitting on the roof of a Hyundai Creta after coming out of the panoramic sunroof was shared online. This video was shared from Guwahati, Assam. It was noted that this incident took place on a main road of the city during nighttime.
Why is standing out of the sunroof dangerous?
As we have emphasized on numerous occasions before, standing out of the sunroof of a moving car is dangerous. This is primarily due to the risk of serious injury or death from accidents. In the event of a sudden stop or collision, the person standing can be thrown out of the vehicle.
This can then lead to severe injuries or fatalities. Additionally, exposure to high-speed winds and debris can cause loss of balance or control, making it difficult to react quickly in emergencies. Additionally, standing out of the sunroof compromises the vehicle’s stability and can distract the driver.
All of these increase the likelihood of accidents. It also violates traffic safety regulations and can potentially result in legal consequences and fines. This act not only endangers the individual standing but also other road users.
