Indian actor Fardeen Khan was recently caught on camera doing a thoughtful gesture. He was spotted driving his Maruti Jimny in Bandra when he stopped for a fan girl to click pictures with him. Son of film producer Feroz Khan and belonging to the famous Khan family, Fardeen has done notable movies and is quite popular. The girl thus seems to be excited to click pictures with him and seemingly ‘used her luck twice’.

Fardeen made his debut in 1998 with the movie Prem Aggan. His performance in it earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Over the years, he acted in nearly 30 movies before taking a break from the industry in 2010. His final film before the break was Dulha Mil Gaya. Around this time, the actor was facing a career decline and box-office failures.
The video shared by Voompla shows him rolling out from a Bandra salon in his White Maruti Suzuki Jimny. A fan girl found her luck in getting a photo opportunity with him, as he stopped by. She approaches him with her smartphone for a selfie. Fardeen poses for the shot, still seated inside the Jimny. The SUV’s tiny proportions and the dark interior colourway might have affected the shot, we are not sure.
Soon, the girl decides to double down on her luck and asks the actor for another shot, to which he kindly agrees. The fangirl then gives her phone to somebody nearby and asks to click them. Quoting her own words “ek peeche se kheencho na please” – meaning ‘please click one with the rear camera’. She is then seen happily posing with the actor again. Finally, she thanked Fardeen for the opportunity. The actor happily accepted it with a happy face.

Fardeen is the first Bollywood celebrity to buy the Jimny. The Maruti SUV is too humble a car to find its place inside a star garage. The actor was previously spotted with his Jimny at the T2 terminal of Mumbai airport. He seems to enjoy driving it. He seems to have bought the top-spec with all the accessories.
Maruti Jimny’s Stint In India
The Jimny 4×4 is known globally, for its lightweight body, off-road abilities and compact dimensions. But it has not lived up to the expectations in terms of sales, in the Indian market. The rather ambitious pricing of the SUV is a major reason. The Jimny clocked its lowest numbers in February this year, selling just 322 units. It has, however, managed to attract niche crowds and enthusiasts.
Originally a three-door, it was made into a 5-door targeted specifically at the Indian market. The 5-door SUV is powered by the 1.5L NA petrol engine (K15B) that was used in the previous generation Brezza. It produces 103 Bhp and 136 Nm. A 4AT automatic transmission is offered alongside the manual.
Despite its intentions to sell large volumes of the Jimny, Maruti Suzuki gave it a slightly ambitious price tag. Later, these came down. Recently, alarmed by dipping sales, MSIL has announced attractive discounts and benefits on the Jimny. In July, 3.3 lakh was shaved off its price, while this month, up to 2.3 lakh rupees can be saved.
