Shah Rukh Khan bought his youngest son Abram a brand-new luxury car. The new buy is a Lexus LM 350h 4S Ultra Luxury, which is probably the most expensive MPV sold in India today. Abram Khan and actress Amrita Arora’s son were recently spotted with the new MPV in Mumbai. In a video, the two kids can be seen greeting the crowd and getting into the luxurious rear seats of the LM.
Amrita Arora was also spotted, in her Emerald Green Metallic Mercedes Benz G63 AMG. She is married to Redstone Group’s Shakeel Ladak, a millionaire.
Coming back to Abram Khan’s new Lexus LM, it is finished in the Sonic Titanium exterior colour. The interior has a Solis White colourway. The other cabin colourway offered is Black. It is the White that makes the cabin feel pleasant, roomy and airy. This is probably the reason why most celebs opt for it.
Lexus launched the LM in India in March this year. The vehicle is available in two versions- VIP and Ultra Luxury. The former is a luxury seven-seater while the latter is a four-seater packing a lot of room and luxury. It is the Ultra Luxury variant that SRK has bought for his son.
One of the standout features of the four-seater version is the partition between the front and rear seats, which includes a dimmable glass panel. This can be raised or lowered according to the passenger’s preference, offering both privacy and flexibility.
In terms of equipment and technology, the Lexus LM goes all out. It boasts a massive 48-inch TV for entertainment, airline-style reclining seats for maximum comfort, and a premium 23-speaker sound system for an immersive audio experience. It also gets fold-out tables, heated armrests and ottomans, a wireless phone charger, and even a mini-fridge. There are also rear glove boxes, a digital rearview mirror, and an umbrella holder for added convenience.
The ex-showroom price of the seven-seater is 2.1 Cr while the Ultra luxury variant costs 2.62 Cr, ex-sh. Needless to say, the on-road cost will be much higher- probably 3 Crore. The price couldn’t be lower as this vehicle is brought as CBUs to India.
In terms of powertrain, it gets a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder petrol hybrid engine that produces 190 hp and 240 Nm. It can go from 0-100 kph in just 8.7 seconds. The top speed is 190 kph. The vehicle also comes with ADAS.
Bollywood’s Lexus LMs
The LM despite its hefty price tag, has seen ample demand from celebrities and VIPs. Bollywood has already had a handful of A-list celebs purchase this vehicle. Ranbir Kapoor and Aliya Bhatt recently bought the vehicle in the same Sonic Titanium shade as SRK. Janhvi Kapoor bought the LM in the elegant shade of Sonic Agate, thereby becoming the first actress to own it in B-Town.
Other Famous LMs
Other famous owners of Lexus LM include the Ambanis and Hardik Pandya. An LM wearing Sonic Quartz paint was recently spotted in the security convoy of Asia’s richest man. It was also seen at Anant’s wedding. It remains to be clarified if this is their personal car or a security car. Cricketer Hardik Pandya has also bought a Sonic Quartz LM. He is also the first cricketer to join the LM clan.
Amid its soaring demand and acceptance, Lexus stopped bookings for the LM in September this year. They said they were unable to ensure smooth deliveries due to supply chain challenges and also promised that bookings would resume soon.
