What’s next with Project X? The Famed Magazine Project 1957 Chevy Bel Air Chevy Just Keeps Changing
A few years ago, they put an EV powerplant in Project X and the world lost it’s F’ing mind like a bunch of whiny kids. I was incredibly vocal at the time about how much it pissed me off that people were just going on and on about it, like it couldn’t be swapped back. What made me laugh most about the whole thing was the fact that most of the folks doing the bitching didn’t seem to have a clue about the jillions of combos, modifications, and iterations that this historic hot rod had been through. I remember when the GM Performance Division crew LS swapped it and redid the entire car to a level it had never seen before. People said they ruined it then, and that it was too nice. And folks have loved or hated tons of variations in the car over the years. But put an electric motor in it and it’s the end of the world. Get over it! Then they put a 632 in it and drove the hell out of it.
See? All is right with the world. It’s fine. Everything is fine. But now that Popular Hot Rodding and some of the other magazines are no longer a thing, what is next for this piece of hot rodding history?
Lucky for us, pun intended, Lucky Costa has got some stuff to share on the subject, so if you care about Project X you should probably pay attention.
