It looks like Indian television and movie actor Shekhar Suman and his family are on a car shopping spree. They recently added a brand-new Audi Q8 e-tron luxury SUV. A new set of images has now surfaced online, where Shekhar Suman is seen taking delivery of his brand-new Mercedes-Benz car. This time it is not an EV but a convertible. Shekhar has bought a Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet.

The images have been shared by AutoHangar, a Mercedes-Benz authorized dealer in Mumbai. In the images, we see Shekhar Suman along with his family standing next to their new ride. The actor is seen taking delivery of the Cabriolet. It looks like the actor got the convertible delivered to his home in Mumbai.
Many actors and celebrities do this to avoid unnecessary attention and inconvenience to them as well as dealership staff. He is probably the first actor from Bollywood to buy the CLE Cabriolet. The CLE was officially unveiled globally in July, and the launch for the same happened in India earlier this month. In India, the CLE is only available as a convertible.
Shekhar Suman bought the CLE Cabriolet in a shade of black, which looks extremely elegant. The Mercedes-Benz CLE is based on Mercedes’ Modular Rear Architecture (MRA) platform. In terms of design, the CLE has an older E-class-inspired design, featuring a long bonnet, a signature wide front grille with the Mercedes logo, and more.
The CLE bought by Suman has a red-colored multi-layered fabric roof that can be automatically closed and opened. It is a proper 2-door convertible that can comfortably seat 4 people. The Mercedes-Benz CLE is a luxury car, so it offers premium features like a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, an 11.9-inch portrait-style infotainment screen, and heated front seats with electrical adjustments.
Apart from these, Mercedes-Benz is also offering dedicated head airbags for rear passengers as standard. The soft top on the CLE Cabriolet will take only 20 seconds to open and close. This can be done while the car is in motion. The only catch here is that the speed should not exceed 60 kmph.
Coming to the engine and transmission options, Mercedes is offering the CLE Cabriolet in only one engine option. It is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The engine generates 258 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The CLE can do a 0-100 kmph sprint in 6.6 seconds, which is pretty fast. The price for a brand-new CLE Cabriolet starts at Rs 1.1 crore, ex-showroom.
Other than the newly bought CLE Cabriolet, Shekhar also owns a couple of other luxury cars. Last year, on his wedding anniversary, Shekhar decided to surprise his wife with a brand-new BMW i7 luxury sedan. It is an extremely popular sedan among celebrities in Bollywood. Many veteran and young actors and actresses have bought this multi-crore sedan.
A few months ago, we saw Shekhar Suman surprising his son, Adhyayan Suman, who is also an actor, with a brand-new Audi Q8 e-tron electric SUV. The delivery video of the Q8 e-tron was quite cinematic.
