Road rage incidents are becoming a common occurrence in India. In metro cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai, we often come across incidents where impatient motorists argue with others on the road, and such arguments often end in physical assaults. We have seen people pull out weapons to deal with others in such cases in the past. Here, we have one such video, where an Audi driver slammed an Ola driver to the ground for crashing into his expensive SUV.

The video has been shared by Free Press Journal on their X profile. The entire incident was captured by the CCTV camera of a complex. In the video, we see an Audi Q3 SUV turning from the road and driving towards the entrance of a complex. Just next to the Audi is a Maruti Ertiga. We see that the Ertiga is too close to the Audi and is right behind the SUV.
The Audi SUV driver stops the vehicle before entering the complex, and the Ertiga driver rear-ends the MUV into the SUV. It appeared to be a minor crash. The MUV driver reversed the car almost immediately. The driver of the Audi SUV got out, along with his wife and mother, who were in the car. The driver was so furious that he picked up the Ola cab driver and slammed him to the ground.
The cab driver hit his head and was in such shock that he couldn’t move. The driver of the Audi SUV has been identified as Rishabh Bibhash Chakravorthy, who is said to be a journalist by profession.
The incident happened last week in the Ghatkopar area. We do not see the whole incident in this video. As per the reports, the Audi driver had brushed his SUV against the Ola cab earlier, and when both parties had an argument, Rishabh’s mother snatched the driver’s navigation device and left the spot.
The Ola driver then followed the family to their complex, and before entering the complex, he hit the SUV slightly from the rear. This is probably what provoked the driver and made him slam the cab driver to the ground. We see Rishabh’s wife and mother get out of the car. Just after the car crashed into the Audi, a security guard rushed to the spot and shouted at the cab driver, unaware of the entire incident.
The driver, identified as 24-year-old Kaimuddin Moinuddin Qureshi, suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Rajawadi Hospital by the security guard. After reaching Rajawadi Hospital, he was then shifted to JJ Hospital. He was under observation in the ICU for some time before being discharged.
Once Mr. Qureshi regained consciousness, he lodged an FIR against the driver. The Parksite police station has now registered an FIR against Rishabh and his wife, Antara Ghosh, for allegedly assaulting the 24-year-old driver.
The police have sent notices to the couple under Section 35 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. The FIR includes sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 117 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), 351(2), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
