Users can download various apps, including Music, Navigation, Parking & Charging, and News. During its launch last March, Audi’s app store featured apps such as Amazon Music and Spotify.
The app store can be accessed via a separate MMI widget. The additional or newly downloaded apps will be added seamlessly to the touchscreen’s user interface. One simply needs to tap the app’s icon to launch it.
The addition of YouTube allows Audi vehicle owners to watch videos during charging stops, driving breaks, or waiting for someone while the vehicle is parked. The German carmaker claims the app works like it does on a smartphone. Of note, one can only play videos via YouTube when the vehicle is parked, which is obviously for safety reasons.
