BMW 2002 Tii Alpina Restomod Is A Perfect Example Of How To Treat A Classic

The car already came equipped with an upgraded E21 323i brake system, but from there Manhart added Raab coilover suspension by KW with a Wiechers strut brace. Original silver Alpina multi-spoke rims with 215/40R16 and 225/40R16 tires have been added, though the color can be changed on request. Normally these wheels would be too recessed thanks to the flared Alpina fenders or “pig cheeks,” but 25 mm spacers all around give them the perfect fitment.

Then of course there’s the new paint job. The car is painted in BMW Agave Green, with light green and silver accents. The iconic Alpina livery has been redone, with decals and Alpina lettering to boot. On the inside, the sport seats by Scheel feature green and blue striping, and a Clubsport roll bar has been added as well.

It’s an honest and uncomplicated package, but one that truly captures the best of the 2002. Now if only Manhart could take this approach with some of it’s modern BMW builds.
