BMW 5 Series And i5 Touring Revealed With Better Looks Than The Sedan

Style is all good and well, but what about practicality? That is why one purchases a wagon, after all. On that front, the Touring delivers. The trunk opening and luggage compartment are wider than before. Combined with a low-loading sill, loading heavier items into the rear is more accessible than before. In normal operation, 20.1 cubic feet of space is usable, but fold the rear bench and this expands to a respectable 60 ft3. That’s slightly less than the E-Class wagon.

Speaking of the rear bench, a 40:20:40 split-folding backrest is standard, and so is a power-operated tailgate, underscoring the Touring’s practical personality. Additional storage bins hidden beneath the load compartment floor can conceal valuables or store the charging cables for the plug-in hybrid and electric variants.

Vegan upholstery is standard, but customers can equip leather as an optional extra. Other options include an 18-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System and a panoramic glass roof.
