Powering the vehicle is a mid-mounted 3.5-liter M88 inline-six, which, from the factory, makes 277 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque. The power unit is coupled with a Kugelfischer-Bosch fuel injection, six individual throttle bodies, and a dry-sump lubrication system.

The next owner will drive the car using a five-speed manual gearbox, with power sent exclusively to the rear wheels. In January 2017, services such as replacing coolant hoses, fuel hoses, injector lines, and heat shields were conducted.

The current bid, which will end on January 23, is $280,000 – not bad considering some M1 examples are sold for half a million and over. The sale includes tools, a first-aid kit, a reproduction owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Montana title.
