BMW’s M Division recently had a big track day at the Nurburgring in Germany, and the results suggest a new lap record for the brand. The German marque’s sports tuning department discovered that its latest M4 prototype, which could be the rumored upcoming M4 CS, is the fastest production Bimmer on the Green Hell. This was teased on BMW M’s official YouTube channel, though the exact track time wasn’t revealed as of yet.
Then again, the times for four BMWs they took to the track were all listed in descending order from slowest to fastest. So, while its exact time was blurred, the car, which the company merely labeled as the “M Prototype,” was indicated to be faster even than the monstrous M4 CSL.
