After frustratingly hearing several impressions of himself, Walken sits down at a restaurant and bumps into a famous guest star, eight-time Grammy winner Usher. Walken and the waiter say “yeah” several times, referencing the name of Usher’s hit single from 2004 featuring Ludacris. Usher asks, “did someone say, yeah?” To which Walken replies, “don’t you got somewhere to be?” This is, of course, a reference to Usher performing at the Super Bowl halftime show. BMW teased Usher’s appearance in the ad with Walken listening to Yeah! in his i5 on the Bowers & Wilkins audio system.
A narrator ends the commercial by stating, “there is only one Christopher Walken and there is only one Ultimate Driving Machine.” Walken adds, “the rest are just imitations,” referring to all the impressions in the ad.
“I really enjoyed working with BMW, they are a wonderful company and electric cars are important,” said Walken. “I look forward to sharing the work we did together.”
“It’s an honor of a lifetime to perform at the Super Bowl and so great to work with BMW,” said Usher. “Making the commercial was a cool experience, and I hope you all enjoy it.”
