Although Tata Motors has come ahead a lot in the past few years, it has still not managed to improve its service quality. A number of Tata Motors cases are coming forward where owners are reporting issues with their newly purchased Tata cars. Most recently, an owner from Patna, Bihar, has shared his terrible experience with his brand-new Safari Dark Edition. He stated that Tata sold him a car with a brake defect, due to which he suffered an accident. The worst part is that a dealership employee even stated that he “should have died.”

The video explaining issues faced by this Tata Safari buyer has been shared on YouTube by Prateek Singh on their channel. The creator of the video starts by stating that this video has been made to help this particular Safari owner in getting a solution quickly. Following this, he then explains the entire case.

Tata Safari Sold with Brake Issue

As per the owner of this particular Tata Safari, he bought this SUV from Patna, Bihar, on July 15th this year. He then emphasized that on the day of delivery, when he was taking out his vehicle for the Hindu rituals at a nearby temple, he quickly noticed that the brakes were very loose and were not functioning properly.

So, he immediately called his sales representative and mentioned this issue. However, after hearing about the complaint, the dealership employee told him that it is just a small issue which will get rectified by itself after driving the vehicle for a few hundred kilometers.

What Happened Next?

Hearing this, the owner of this SUV continued driving the vehicle. However, he then states that he went on a trip with his father and brothers in his new Safari to Mussoorie from Patna. Unfortunately, during this trip, at one point, a tractor randomly came on the road.

So, in order to avoid hitting the tractor, the driver started applying the brakes of this SUV. However, despite there being ample distance between the tractor and the Safari at the time of applying the brakes, the SUV did not stop and crashed into the tractor.

The video then shows the aftermath of this accident. While speaking with the creator of this video, the owner mentions, and we can also note from the video, that the entire front right side of the vehicle was destroyed. The front right headlight, fender, and other essential parts were damaged.

In addition to this, the owner also mentioned that even the front right tire of the SUV burst during the accident. He added that even though this happened due to the brake issue, he had to make a claim on his insurance. The owner stated that dealership representatives have been denying the brake failure as a factory defect.

He highlighted that the technicians working in the dealership have stated that the brake failure is a manufacturing defect. They added that the brake booster of this SUV is faulty, and due to this, even after applying the brakes 100 percent, they are only performing at 40 percent efficiency.

The owner, in the video, while expressing his frustration, revealed that the vehicle has been in the shop for more than 40 days. However, despite this, the dealership is unable to repair the vehicle properly.

He also highlighted that when he confronted the dealership representatives, one of them started behaving very rudely and even stated that “he should have died.” The owner added that he even got kicked out of the dealership. Presently, the car has still not been given back to the owner.
