Just in time for this weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans race, Cadillac has introduced two special versions of the CT5-V Blackwing and the smaller CT4-V Blackwing. The two limited edition models celebrate the 75th anniversary of Cadillac’s shocking entry at the Circuit de la Sarthe – not just because it was the luxury automaker’s first appearance at Le Mans but because of the entries themselves.
We’re talking about the two Cadillac Series 61 coupes that raced under the Cunningham banner – one was a bone-stock model driven by Petit Pataud, while the other was an odd-looking soap bar worthy of its “Le Monstre” moniker. The special edition Blackwing sedans pay homage to these iconic Cadillac race cars.
Cadillac “Le Monstre” And Petit Pataud
To distinguish the new limited edition models, both the CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre Special Edition and CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud Special Edition have Magnus Matte exterior paint with Stormhawk blue-tinted carbon fiber components. They also have Gloss Black mirror caps and Royal Blue brake calipers, while their badges are painted black. The CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre distinguishes itself with the odd number “2” inlay on the lower front doors, while the CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud carries the original race car’s number 3.
The heritage numbers are also visible on the seat backrests, along with a unique sill plate design, a 3D-printed manual transmission shifter medallion, and blue-accented upholstery. Like other limited edition Cadillac models, both have collector’s series B-pillar plaques and serial numbers.

Limited Availability
Interested? These two special edition Cadillac sports sedans aren’t available to order for now. The automaker said production is set to happen early in 2025, so we can expect ordering books to open later this year. This timeline is important as only 101 units of the CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre Special Edition will be produced, while the CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud Special Edition will be more scarce at only 50 units.
The 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans race will be held on June 15, and Cadillac’s YouTube channel will provide live-stream videos. Cadillac is gunning for another podium this year after finishing third in 2023.
