Cadillac's Iconic 'Goddess' Makes A Comeback On The New CELESTIQ

The Cadillac Goddess, a symbol of elegance and craftsmanship, has been reimagined and takes pride in being featured on the upcoming CELESTIQ. Known for its design history, Cadillac’s re-introduction of this iconic figure pays homage to the brand’s past while forging its future. Richard Wiquist, Cadillac’s Creative Sculptor, masterfully redefined the Goddess. He spent months meticulously handcrafting its form in clay, capturing a sense of fluid motion with a soaring stance. The original Goddess was first unveiled in 1930, a reflection of the then-current automotive and artistic zeitgeist.

Wiquist found his muse in the 1933 version of the Goddess, which had adorned Cadillac’s legendary V-16 models. Displayed on front-fender plaques and as a three-dimensional backlit emblem on the car’s interior multi-function controller, the Goddess elevates the Cadillac’s essence. Even the car’s charge port door will bear a two-dimensional Goddess emblem, ensuring that every detail embodies the brand’s commitment to heritage and innovation. Available through inquiry only and set to arrive in late spring 2024, the CELESTIQ aims to be a masterpiece of individuality.
