Key Takeaways
- Caravaggio has reduced production of re-bodied Z06s from 30 to 25 units, each uniquely painted for exclusivity.
- The entire body is crafted from carbon fiber and is painted with no vinyl accents.
- The interior features Alcantara upholstery, custom ambient lighting, and serialized VIN tags.
Caravaggio Corvettes, a firm based in Ontario, Canada, has always specialized in improving Chevy’s sports car, and for the C8 generation, it’s come up with a stunning reimagining that does away with the standard body in favor of something more exotic. In 2022, the company first announced its intentions to produce 30 Unica Series 1 kits for the C8 Corvette Z06, and last year, the company revealed the first examples with a $135,000 price tag (excluding the six-figure cost of the underlying Z06). Whether the result of too little interest, production constraints, or some other reason, that figure has now been reduced to 25 units.
But Each One Will Be Unique
Caravaggio says that each of the re-bodied Z06s will be painted in a unique color to ensure exclusivity, and those who opt for liveries with contrasting accents, such as the yellow stripes seen on this purple example, will be pleased to learn that these highlights are painted onto the body and then coated with clear lacquer, so there’s no chance of bits of vinyl tearing off when you pressure wash the thing. A ghosted Z06 logo – also painted – appears on each rear quarter panel.

2025 Chevrolet Corvette Pricing Doesn’t Tell Us The One Thing We Want To Know
Customers can nab a 2025 Stingray for less than $70,000, but range-toppers push deep into six-figure territory.
Inside, the basic appearance of the cabin and its GWOB is mostly unchanged, except that everything has been reupholstered in Alcantara with yellow contrast stitching and seatbelts. A yellow-and-silver noon marker also appears on the carbon steering wheel, and the shift paddles behind the wheel are new, too. With little else to improve on, the company also fits a custom ambient lighting system.
Performance Is (Mostly) Unchanged
With a 5.5-liter flat-plane crank V8 delivering 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque as standard, Caravaggio has elected to leave the powertrain unchanged, with the exception of a custom exhaust system to increase the drama. Because these are sold as new vehicles, you also get a serialized VIN tag in the driver door jamb and another in the engine compartment. A certificate of authenticity is also provided so that you can prove to a potential future buyer that this isn’t just a C8 with a random body kit but one of the rarest reimaginings of the mid-engine C8. But at this price, perhaps it’s better to wait for the 1,064-hp ZR1…
