A brace of car thieves in Gomez Palacio, Mexico, perfectly demonstrated how not to steal a car after damaging a brand-new Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon in a daring train robbery attempt. Actually, train robbery is not an apt description of what happened here.
According to Debate, the miscreants broke into a rail yard and found the rail car with the two trucks inside. They jimmied it open, and that’s when the plan fell flat. It appears as if the grand heist was only planned up until that point and no further.
Carrying weapons instead of makeshift ramps, the car thieves could not get the trucks out of the rail car. Both trucks have impressive ground clearance and approach/departure angles (especially if you order a Colorado ZR2 Bison), but not enough to clear the distance between the ground and the edge of a rail car.
