Chevy C8 Corvette Gets Humiliated By Hennessey's Supercharged H700

Hennessey ran an H700 and a standard ‘Vette on the same day, in the same driving mode, with the same amount of fuel in the tank to keep things as fair as possible. The drivers didn’t use launch control, instead revving up to 1,000 rpm while holding the brake pedal pressed down.

As you can see from the inside of the standard Corvette, the H700 runs away and keeps going. In the rolling race, the cars were kept in automatic mode, and once again, the H700 opened up a sizeable gap.

The standard car is already a beast. We know from previous drag races that the new mid-engine layout provides enough traction to beat a car with a 300-horsepower advantage. We know the Z06 is a true supercar beater, and we’d love to see the H700 go up against America’s Ferrari. The H700 trumps even the Z06, with its NA flat-plane V8 producing 670 hp.
