Cruising Cornfields – 1959 Impala in Bare Metal by BBT Fabrications – Magazine Cover Shoot

Bare metal cars are awesome. I mean they must suck to own, because keeping one from being a nasty mess would probably be a lot of work, but man they are cool to look at. A car with no filler, that has been massaged to be ultra straight, is something to be proud of if you are the team of metal workers involved. The 1959 Impala below has got a lot of quarter panel, roof, and door to make look nice, let alone the huge hood, fenders, and trunk. There isn’t a body panel on this car that isn’t huge and reflective.

When John Jackson at Not Stock Photography got the chance to shoot this one for the cover of Modern Rodding, I’m glad he decided to make some video too. Check out what it takes to make a feature and cover shoot like this happen. It’s something special for sure.

Video Description:

It’s not very often you get to see a world class custom car in Bare Metal, much less get to ride around in one on the backroads of Illinois among the cornfields. I had the privilege of photographing the latest masterpiece form the guys at BBT Fabrications in Mahomet Illinois an unreal 1959 Impala that a day after I left was already getting blown apart for body and paint work.(Im sure you’ll see it in a video when its complete sometime next year) Hope you enjoy this video Im hoping to do more of these in the near future….Thanks for Watching as always.
