EASTMAN, Wis. (WKBT) — The Eastman Fire Department hosted a training event for first responders, teaching them how to manage electric vehicle accidents.
Friday was the first of two training sessions on handling EV accidents safely.
Evsafe assisted in training the fire department and other departments across Crawford County.
The owner of EVSAFE said first responders need to evolve with growing technologies to ensure community safety.
“As a country, we are moving more and more towards electric mobility and sustainable energy, and it’s important that our departments have the tools so that they can properly handle these sorts of incidents when they happen,” said Mike Klimkosky.
Another training session will be held on Saturday at 8 am.
