Electrify America announced it will introduce Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector to its fast-charging networks across the United States and Canada by 2025 to make charging more accessible for all EV owners, regardless of the make or model.
The NACS connector will be added to the existing and future infrastructure, says the VW Group-owned company, and should encourage more consumers to adopt EVs owing to the increased convenience this change will bring.
“Since our founding, we have focused on building an inclusive and open hyper-fast charging network to facilitate the adoption of electric vehicles,” said Robert Barrosa, president and CEO of Electrify America. “We look forward to continuing to support industry-wide standards that increase vehicle interoperability and streamline public charging.”
