Who is Ravi Pillai?
For those who may not be aware, Ravi Pillai is the founder of RP Group. He is an Indian entrepreneur who had very humble beginnings and later turned himself into a business magnate. He was born in a small village in Kerala, India, and raised in a family of farmers. After growing up, he completed his education in business management.
In the early 1970s, he moved to Saudi Arabia, where he initially started a small trading business, after which his company expanded into construction and infrastructure. It then turned into RP Group in 1978. It undertook massive projects across the Middle East and beyond, spanning industries such as construction, hospitality, steel, and cement.

After amassing a huge fortune, Ravi Pillai managed to create a fleet of some of the most luxurious cars. In addition, he also bought himself a helicopter. So without any further delay, let’s jump right into his collection.
Airbus H145
In June last year, Ravi Pillai took delivery of his brand-new Airbus H145 in Kovalam, Kerala. It is currently one of the most sought-after helicopters in the world. It is a compact, four-blade helicopter that can accommodate two pilots and seven passengers. It is powered by two Safran HE Ariel 2C2 turboshaft engines.
These engines deliver a maximum power of 785 kW. Capable of reaching speeds up to 246 kmph and operating at altitudes of 20,000 feet, the H145 is a technological marvel. Airbus will be making only 1,500 units of the H145 helicopter for the entire global market. Apart from Pillai, M.A. Yusuff Ali of the Lulu Group also owns the same helicopter.
Rolls-Royce Ghost
The most prestigious and valuable car in Ravi Pillai’s garage is none other than the Rolls-Royce Ghost. He purchased this ultra-luxurious sedan back in 2011. Despite being over a decade old, this sedan remains his preferred vehicle for daily use. This sedan resides at his residence in Kollam, Kerala. It is powered by a massive 6.5-liter V12 that makes 570 bhp and 780 Nm of torque.
Mercedes-Maybach S600
Ravi Pillai was the first person in southern India to own a Mercedes-Maybach S600. He bought this luxury sedan finished in a beautiful shade of white. This sedan features amenities like a state-of-the-art infotainment system, ambient lighting, seat massagers, an integrated perfume system, and a panoramic sunroof. As for power, it gets a 6.0-liter V12 engine delivering 530 bhp and 800 Nm of torque.
Mercedes-Maybach S500
Apart from his personal Mercedes-Maybach S600, Pillai also gifted his daughter a Mercedes-Maybach S500 on her wedding day. This particular Maybach was finished in a classy shade of all-black. Unlike the S600, the S500 is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. This motor generates a maximum power of 453 bhp and 700 Nm of torque.
Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography
One of the most popular choices among luxury SUV lovers is the Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography. It is also a part of Ravi Pillai’s car collection. It was showcased at his daughter’s wedding. It is finished in a classy shade of golden.
BMW 5 Series
In addition to the ultra-luxurious cars mentioned above, Ravi Pillai also owns a BMW 520d variant. This was one of the most successful BMW sedans ever sold in India. It is powered by an inline 4-cylinder petrol engine. This motor generates a maximum power of 190 bhp and 400 Nm of torque.
Audi A6 Matrix
During his daughter’s wedding in 2015, Pillai showcased a fleet of exotic vehicles. This fleet included the then newly launched Audi A6 Matrix. The Audi A6 Matrix competes with the BMW 5 Series, which Pillai also has in his collection. This sedan is powered by an inline 4-cylinder engine that makes 190 bhp and 400 Nm of torque.
