Ferrari Wins 24 Hours Of Le Mans After 58 Years

Second place went to the #8 Toyota GR010-Hybrid driven by Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley, and Ryo Hirakawa, who were just over a minute and 21 seconds behind the Ferrari, while the #2 Cadillac V-Series.R driven by Earl Bamber, Alex Lynn, and Richard Westbrook was just one lap behind.

Over 24 hours, the three podium finishes were separated by less than two laps of the 8.4-mile circuit in France. The magnitude of that is immense, and it could’ve been even closer, as with two hours to go, the #8 Toyota was running in second by less than 10 seconds. But Ryo Hirakawa spun off the track at Arnage, and despite Toyota putting in a rapid two-minute repair, the Gazoo Racing crew was unable to overcome the deficit.

Cadillac also picked up fourth, while the #50 Ferrari finished fifth. Two Glickenhaus 007s finished in sixth and seventh, and the wingless Peugeot finished eighth.
