Key Takeaways
- Ford cuts Bronco Sport prices, making it more affordable for customers at under $30,000
- New pricing brings the Bronco Sport closer to rivals like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4
- This pricing strategy isn’t new for Ford, which previously offered incentives to sell more Bronco Sport SUVs.
Ford has recently rolled out an updated Bronco Sport pricing, representing an almost $2,000 price cut for the lineup, bringing the SUV’s starting price under $30,000. Considering the ridiculous dealer markups when it was launched in 2021, this spells good news to interested customers.
The entry-level Bronco Sport Big Bend now has a price tag of $29,795, a $1,435 decrease from last month. Meanwhile, the retro-styled Heritage and Free Wheeling are both given a $1,335 discount, currently at $32,365 and $32,395, respectively. The Outer Banks trim received the biggest price cut at $1,980, bringing its price down to $33,935. Unfortunately, the top-spec Badlands didn’t get the adjustment, still priced at $38,390. Of note, the prices mentioned don’t include destination charges.

Now Closer To Its Rivals
The price cut was first announced through a bulletin to dealers, effective April 2, 2024, with prices now reflected on Ford’s customer-facing website. That said, Ford’s bulletin says that those already shipped to dealers before the mentioned date will be re-invoiced and issued with new window stickers.
Of note, the Bronco Sport’s new pricing brings the model closer to the pricing of its rivals. The 2024 Honda CR-V’s starting price is now less than $300 cheaper, while the Toyota RAV4 is already within striking distance with a $1,120 difference. Consequently, the new pricing has reduced the gap to the Ford Escape to just $300.

Pricing Strategy
This isn’t the first time Ford has employed a pricing strategy to sell more Bronco Sport SUVs. In February, it was discovered that 2023 Bronco Sport units are being sold at best-ever interest rates, going as far as a 0% APR for 60 months to get rid of in-stock vehicles. Last year, dealer incentives amounted to an over $4,000 price cut on the MSRP.
