Ford F-Series Retains Title Of Best-Selling Truck For 46th Consecutive Year

The Ford F-Series has continued its dominance as America’s top-selling truck, with projections to surpass 640,000 vehicles in 2022. Last year alone saw an average of one Ford F-Series vehicle sold every 49 seconds. This marks 46 consecutive years atop the sales charts for this vehicle line and 41 record-setting years across all automakers.

“The Ford truck team’s ability to anticipate customer needs, continuously innovate, and provide best-in-class levels of capability and performance has helped make F-Series the sales leader time and time again,” said Kumar Galhotra, President of Ford Blue. “We’re honored and humbled that our customers have helped us achieve this milestone for more than four decades.”

Celebrating its 75th anniversary, the F-Series has made a lasting impression on the industry by setting an innovative tone for others to follow. This feat is exemplified in its all-electric model, the F-150 Lightning, which already became the best-selling EV pickup upon its sales launch early last year. A further testament to their standing as number one comes from their most recent addition – The All-New Super Duty – having received a staggering 150,000 orders before the first deliveries beginning at the start of 2021.

Ford understands the wide variety of customer needs when it comes to trucks, and that’s why they offer a comprehensive lineup, ranging from compact Maverick to the F-750. With these models encompassing strength, dependability, and Built Ford Tough features–America’s broadest truck offering continues to be a top choice for consumers.
