A new teaser from Ford has all but confirmed that the new Bronco Sport will be more capable than ever. The teaser video shows a very ‘squatch-like arm writing the date “8/26” on a muddied Bronco Sport, accompanied by an animal grunting off-camera. If you didn’t get the message: we’re almost certainly going to see Ford’s off-road Sasquatch package coming to the 2025 Bronco Sport.
The Sasquatch package has been available on the big Bronco since its 2021 launch and offers an impressive set of premium off-road enhancements: 17-inch black aluminum wheels with 35-inch tires, high-clearance suspension and fender flares, and electronic locking front and rear axles. In our opinion, it’s a must-have for the Bronco if you’re doing off-roading, and even though it doesn’t have every ideal off-road feature, it’s certainly a good start. As the Bronco Sport compact SUV gets ready for a mid-cycle refresh, those sweet off-road amenities might be coming to the crossover.
Since the Bronco nameplate was revived for the 2021 model year, the Bronco Sport has been the little sibling to the more rough-and-tumble Bronco. But the Sport might be getting tough enough to tag along on muddier, gnarlier, and hairier outings (pun intended) with the 2025 upgrades.
Early glimpses at the 2025 prototypes have revealed more aggressive looks and features that could be coming to the Sport, including rear tow hooks, higher ride height, and bigger tires. Luckily, it seems we’ll be getting a better look at them on August 26.
