In addition to selling so many Mustangs, Dearborn also sold a total of 31 Ford GT supercars, excluding the 67-unit 800-horsepower GT Mk IV track toy that was unveiled at the tail end of 2022. Ford also dominated truck sales, with the F-Series being America’s best-selling truck for the 47th straight year and its best-selling vehicle for the 42nd straight year.
More specifically, 750,789 F-Series trucks were sold last year, and as part of that, the F-150 Lightning became the best-selling electric truck of the year. Besides Tesla, nobody sold more EVs in America than Ford.
The domination continues in the middle ground: the F-150 Hybrid was the second best-selling hybrid truck in America, beaten only by the Maverick Hybrid.
Finally, in 2023, Ford also sold the most commercial vehicles and topped the commercial van sales charts (including electric vans) for the 45th consecutive year.
