During a media event this week in Los Angeles, Genesis announced the North American debut of the Electrified GV70, representing the third electric vehicle in the automaker’s lineup as it moves toward a more sustainable future.
The first public showcase of the Electrified GV70 in the U.S. market will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center during the LA Auto Show from November 18th – 27th.
The new Electrified GV70 features new technologies designed exclusively for electric vehicles, in combination with its spacious interior and refined performance. Genesis expects production of the Electrified GV70 to begin in December at the brand’s Montgomery, Alabama, manufacturing facility. The Electrified GV70 will be the first Genesis model built in the United States and the first Genesis production outside South Korea.
“The North American debut of the Electrified GV70 and its assembly in Montgomery, Alabama, represent a significant milestone for Genesis,” said Claudia Marquez, Chief Operating Officer of Genesis Motor North America. “We are pleased for everyone to experience the Electrified GV70 in person at this year’s LA Auto Show.”
More details regarding pricing and the potential performance of the electric GV70 are expected following the LA Auto Show debut.
