However, recently a video from Bihar has gone viral, showing something very unique. In this short clip, a Ford EcoSport compact SUV was seen with two different registration plates. Government Employee’s Car With Dual Number Plates
This video showing the two number plates of a government official has been shared on X. It comes courtesy of First Bihar Jharkhand News. In this short clip, we can note that a white Ford EcoSport compact SUV is parked in front of a government office. The clip first shows the rear of the car with a registration plate from Uttar Pradesh.
We can also note that there is a massive sticker on the rear windshield of the car which says, “Bihar Government.” Following this, the person recording the video moves to the front of the car. Surprisingly, we can note that the car was fitted with a number plate from Bihar.
In addition to the number plate, a massive red plate was also present. This plate mentioned “Bihar Government Block Development Officer, Saur Bazar Block, Saharsa.” The video then shows the car parked in front of the Block Development Office of Saharsa district in Bihar.
Who Owns This Dual Number Plate Ford EcoSport?
As per reports, this particular Ford EcoSport, which has been spotted with two different registration numbers, is owned by a Block Development Officer (BDO). Her name is Neha Kumari, and she is the BDO of Saur Bazar Block, which comes under the Saharsa district in Bihar.
Explanation By BDO For Dual Number Plates
After the video of this Ford EcoSport belonging to the BDO of Saur Bazar went viral, the BDO stated that the car was earlier registered in Uttar Pradesh. However, after she shifted, the number was changed through the re-registration process. She added that the vehicle was registered in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.
However, the number plates were taken from the District Transport Office (DTO), Saharsa. Following this, she also explained that this is her personal vehicle, which she uses to reach the office. From there, she gets into her official vehicle to visit sites.
According to BDO Neha Kumari, what happened was that the front number plate was changed at the DTO, but as she was getting late, the rear number plate could not be changed on time at the DTO. She then added that just before the rear number plate was changed, someone managed to make a video, which has now gone viral.

A number of netizens who have seen the viral video have shared their opinions on the matter. They have highlighted that just because this vehicle belongs to a government employee, no fines have been issued. However, had this been done by any other citizen, they would have been slapped with a huge fine.
Apart from similar comments, a number of netizens have tagged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the District Magistrate. They have requested a strict investigation from the government of Bihar on the dual number plate issue of the BDO, Saur Bazar Block, Saharsa district.
