Hennessey Says Goodbye To Chevy Camaro With 1,000-HP Demon 170 Slayer

So what’s the Exorcist’s secret weapon against the Demon? Is it powered by blessed, holy E85? Nope. Hennessey takes the standard 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V8 and equips it with a high-flow supercharger and high-flow air induction. To ensure there’s enough fuel going into the engine, the tuner also upgrades the auxiliary fuel system, fuel injectors, and fuel pump.

The cylinder heads are also ported and equipped with HPE camshafts. Hennessey also upgrades the intake valves, exhaust valves, valve springs, retainers, lifters, and pushrods. To keep things cool, the engine has an oversized heat exchanger.

Finally, the engine is connected to long-tube stainless steel headers and high-flow catalytic converters. You can listen to the results in the videos above and below. We suggest good quality earphones because this Excorcist sounds like it is possessed.
