Here’s How Much A Fully-Loaded Lexus LC Costs

The Lexus LC, or Luxury Coupe, is remarkable because of how many boxes it ticks. It’s a grand-tourer coupe, so it’s speedy, hitting 0-60 in around four and a half seconds, but the suspension has been tuned to provide a pleasing driving experience. In short, it’s not going to hurt every time you drive over a pebble. It’s also stylish, luxurious, and can definitely function as a status symbol, but it’s not prohibitively expensive, with even the most expensive model coming in well under $130,000.

Now, if we want to take the absolute top-of-the-line model, and load it up with all the extras we can add, what’s that going to cost us?

Lexus LC Sticker Prices From Trim To Trim

Before we can start building a fully-loaded Lexus LC, we’ll want to take a look at the prices on each trim. There are eight in total, divided between coupes, hybrid coupes, and convertibles. Note that these are just the base MSRP prices. That means that they do not include the freight charge, and they don’t include taxes, registration costs, premium paint colors or anything else. This is just what it says on the price tag.

The priciest model, and, therefore, the one we’ll be using to build our fully-loaded edition, is the LC 500 Convertible Inspiration Series. This one starts at just over $120,000. So, what are we getting for that price that we don’t get in the base model?

Some of these features are offered as options or as part of a package in the base model, but they all come standard in the top-of-the-line Inspiration Series.

What Can You Add To A Lexus LC?

The Lexus LC is a small two-seater, and the L stands for Luxury, so the optional accessories list isn’t as long as you’ll find in many other Toyotas and Lexus. Many of the accessories that can be included in financing, like plug-in coolers, camping tables, and tents, are more suited to SUVs and pickups like the Tacoma and the Lexus RX. If you were to buy all the camping accessories offered with the Lexus LC, it’s hard to imagine where you’d even store them in the car.

But, we were still able to find some accessories we wouldn’t mind adding to a Lexus Luxury Coupe. Most of them will only come in handy if you plan on doing a lot of traveling with your dog, though.

If you’re not traveling with a pet in tow, we’d say that the must-haves would be the emergency assist kit, the RAM X-Grip phone-holder, the 3M films and floor mats, which will keep your car looking mint, and maybe the hydration jug if you like taking long road trips without a lot of pit stops. The illuminated door sills are a nice touch, but hardly a necessity, and, finally, the Carmate dashcam and parking assist can be helpful, but how hard is it to park a coupe?

With all of these features added in, and a $1,350 freight charge, our total comes out to $124,707 before taxes and registration costs.

Here’s What It Costs To Finance A Fully-Loaded Lexus LC

We’re going to take a wild guess that, if you’re thinking of buying an LC500, you’re probably not going to buy it with a single cash payment. That means you’re going to need to get financed. So, if we assume a $10,000 down payment, a five-year loan term, 6% sales tax, and 5% interest, what does that look like?

All told, this gives us a total loan cost of $152,881, with $16,691, or 12%, going to interest, and the rest to the principal. At these terms, monthly payments may be a bit steep at over two grand, but it beats spending twenty years paying off fifty grand in interest.

Note that these numbers are only provided as an example. If you have something nice to trade in, that could cover the down payment and then some. If you can secure a great interest rate, or if you can pay the loan off in a shorter amount of time, or if sales tax is a little lower, or higher, where you live, that’s going to result in a very different set of calculations. The only way to get an idea of what you can expect to pay when financing a Lexus LC is to run the numbers for yourself and see what you get.

Is A Fully-Loaded Lexus LC Worth The Price?

After you take sales taxes and financing into account, every single Lexus LC is going to rack up a bill in the low five-figures. You could buy a base model with cash, and the registration costs alone will bring your total to just over $100,000. This is to say, at that price you might as well stop worrying about how to buy the best value version of the car, and just focus on building the Lexus you always dreamed of.

With that in mind, we would actually recommend the Bespoke trim. The Inspiration Series is a ready-built trim, and it’s only available with a Polar Surge Satin exterior finish and Deep Blue/Satin Metallic trim. The Bespoke offers more room for customization, with nine exterior colors to choose from, seven interior color options, and all sorts of optional carbon fiber and stainless steel options for the exterior. If you’re spending over a hundred grand on a luxury coupe, it makes more sense to buy the one that can be tailored to your own tastes.

From there, we would recommend either the Coupe or the Convertible, depending on whether you like riding with the top down, or if you prefer the cozy comfort of an enclosed two-seater. The hybrid model is fine, but it’s a V6 delivering 354 horsepower, while the ICE editions pack a 471-horse 5.0-liter V8. Call it a bias on our part, but if you could have a V8, why not go with the V8? And if you drop the roof, you can hear its howl even better. But that’s just us.

Of course, this could all be moot, as the 2025 LC will be coming with a round of updates including more color options and a stiffer chassis. So it might not be a terrible idea to hold off and see if the new model is the smarter purchase. What we can tell you is that the LC will likely retain its value, but you’ll have to hold on to it for at least 10 years. Much like the LFA, the LC is not appreciated right now, and sales are extremely low. Once every car on the road has a downsized turbocharged engine, the value of coupes, convertibles, and sports sedans with naturally aspirated V8s will soar.
