After this, he inquired about the price for a new Skoda Slavia and finally ended up paying Rs 16.14 lakh, which was less than the used car he was offered.

In this case, he saved around Rs 4 lakh by doing this. Generally, dealers are eager to clear out inventory from the previous year to make room for new stock. So, this provides a golden opportunity for buyers to save a significant amount of money.

The buyer in this scenario also managed to find out the best time for his purchase. He strategically waited for the end-of-month discounts. Car dealerships often have monthly sales targets, and hitting these targets can result in substantial bonuses for sales staff.
