Hyundai has released a teaser for something unique that will be revealed at the 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon called the NPX1. The vehicle in question is based on the new Ioniq 5 N, one of the most exciting electric vehicles shown in recent months, but appears to have several enhancements over the standard car.
This is no ordinary Ioniq 5 N. In a teaser video (watch below), Hyundai refers to it as the NPX1. The side view shows us new body parts, namely an oversized diffuser, a large rear spoiler, and a prominent front splitter. Already an aggressive-looking performance car, these new add-ons lend the electric crossover a motorsport-inspired look.
So what could this be? One possibility is that Hyundai is getting ready to reveal a line of N Performance parts, much like BMW M does with its M cars. These optional accessories will presumably improve handling and create more downforce on track.
