What are the best luxury cars to own for at least 10 years?

Luxury cars are the stuff of dreams for many people, so you want to be sure that dream doesn’t become a nightmare and leave you stranded on the side of the road. Lexus is a great choice, although it might not have the right luxury appeal for everyone. If that’s the case, then try BMW, which also gets good reliability ratings. What’s your top pick for a long-term luxury car?

Is the Mazda5 a good used buy for a young family?

Mazda no longer sells the Mazda5, which was a halfway house between a hatchback and a minivan. But for a small family, it’s got a lot of potential. Mazda has a strong reputation for reliability, and there are loads of parts support from that era when Ford was still involved. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine was pretty robust, with 157 hp and 163 lb-ft of torque, but you could only get it in front-wheel drive, so snow-prone areas probably wouldn’t suit it. However, we think for more southern states, the Mazda5 could be a great family option, and with prices now peaking at under $15,000, there’s a lot of value for money to be had. What do you think?
