A 1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z with just 440 miles under its belt is going under the hammer via Bring A Trailer. Collectors now have the chance to purchase what is possibly the best-known example of the most desirable third-generation Camaro.
As you would expect, the vehicle presents in showroom-fresh condition, with gorgeous crimson paintwork, perfect rubbers, and flawless glass. Everything looks brand new, with no signs of damage or scratches anywhere. Unmistakably a car of the ’80s, the IROC-Z wears loud Bright Red paintwork, accentuating the muscular and boxy styling. The exterior paint is flawless, with paint meter readings showing relatively thick paint for a car of this age.
Faux hood vents, rear window louvers, and removable T-top roof panels add more ’80s flair. This example wears sport side mirrors and body-colored valances at the front and rear. The 16-inch aluminum wheels, wrapped in Goodyear Eagle ZR50 rubber, would be considered small today but were rather large for the period.
