While the details of the electric powertrain remain scarce, the Kia EV3 will likely ride on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform like the EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5. albeit running on a 400-volt architecture only as a cost-cutting measure. The base model could be equipped with a 58 kWh battery and a single motor, but a more potent version could be in the cards badged with the GT emblem.
The debut should be imminent with the Kia EV3 out in the wild. One thing is for sure, and that is a relatively attainable price. The automaker said its entire EV range will be between $30,000 and $80,000, so we can expect the former to be slapped on the smallest US-bound Kia electric crossover.
