The Italian firm has also fettled the suspension, fitting motorized shock absorbers and a nose-lift system to prevent any pricey scraping incidents on the lower bumper. The front shocks are modern and conventional items. At the rear, however, you’ll find the same layout as before: a centrally-positioned shock absorber with double side springs – a feature typical of the spectacular Group B rally cars from the 1980s.

Under the hood, there have been improvements too. The 2.1-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged motor now produces a healthy 600 hp, an improvement of 100 hp over the EVO37. The torque figure sits at 428 lb-ft, of which 295 lb-ft is available at 2,000 rpm.

These increases have been achieved through numerous upgrades, including a larger turbocharger, new valves, camshafts, and springs, and an electronically controlled blow-off valve. Optionally, Kimera can provide a custom exhaust for more noise, but no power gains are noted.
