“Out of an abundance of caution, we ask all Jesko owners and drivers to hold off on driving their cars until we have had a chance to understand the situation better,” reads an email sent to Jesko clients. Koenigsegg has said it will update owners once it knows more about the problem.
Per the report, the burnt Jesko will be transported to Koenigsegg’s facility in Ängelhom, Sweden. The automaker will endeavor to find out what went wrong and, if necessary, implement a fix for the problem. However, Jesko owners must sit tight and leave their Jeskos in the garage. It remains to be seen whether the incinerated Jesko will be rebuilt, but the bigger challenge is determining the cause when the remains are well and truly charred.

Burnt Jesko Had Some Very Special Options
Delivered to an owner in Spain just a few weeks before the fire, the Jesko was a bespoke “Nur Edition” with a special Koenigsegg Naked Carbon finish. This option is eye-wateringly expensive, with a price tag of $440,000 on top of the $3 million base price. The Jesko in question also had gold leaf accents, making this loss all the worse.
