The video has been shared by Mohan Kumar on his Instagram page. In this video, the owner of the Land Rover Defender took his expensive luxury SUV to a workshop he frequently visits to fix the punctures on his vehicles. The owner is on good terms with the owner of the shop, and it looks like he often takes his vehicle to the workshop and asks him to drive or ride it.
In the video, we can hear the puncture shop owner talk about how smooth the Defender feels. He mentions that it doesn’t even feel like the car is moving. The 360-degree camera feature of the Defender also amazed him. The owner then tells him that looking at the screen to know about the surroundings might be confusing, and it is always a good idea to look at the road and surroundings yourself rather than relying on the cameras. The excitement of driving a huge SUV like the Defender was very evident on his face.
The Land Rover Defender is an extremely popular SUV among rich customers in India. One of the main reasons why many people are attracted to the Defender is because it is a butch-looking SUV that gives an imposing look on the road. Unlike previous-generation models, it also offers very premium-looking interiors and is feature-loaded. All this is offered without affecting the off-road abilities of the SUV. Just like the previous generation Defenders, the new one is offered in 90, 110, and 130 variants. The Defender 90 is the three-door version, and the 110 is the 5-door version. The 130 version is slightly longer than the 110 and offers a third-row seat. The SUV comes with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster, automatic climate control, a head-up display, a wireless phone charger, connected car features, a premium speaker system from Meridian, electrically adjustable front seats, electronic air suspension that can be raised at the touch of a button, a 360-degree camera, heated front seats, blind-spot assist, front and rear parking sensors, six airbags, ABS, traction control, leather upholstery, rubber flooring, and more.
The Land Rover Defender is available with 2.0-liter and 3.0-liter petrol engines, as well as a 3.0-liter diesel engine. Last year, the manufacturer also introduced a 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine option for both the Defender 110 and 90 versions. All these engine choices come with an automatic transmission as standard. The vehicle features a permanent 4WD system with a locking center differential and active rear-locking differentials. Prices for a brand-new Land Rover Defender start at Rs 93.55 lakh, ex-showroom, and go up to Rs 2.35 crore, ex-showroom.
