The facelifted Volkswagen Golf has leaked online courtesy of images snapped at a press preview event. This is most likely the Golf 8’s final update before the famous model range goes all-electric. At first glance, it may seem like a minor tweak, but VW seems to have fixed the most significant issue related to the current Golf.
The tweaked appearance comes as no surprise, as we’ve already seen undisguised examples of the car out and about. It has slimmer headlights, a new LED pattern, and tweaked bumpers, but we’re more concerned with the updated infotainment system. The current system comes close to spoiling an entire car, but VW is working on the problem and will soon debut a revised infotainment setup.
The leaked model appears to be wearing a far more aggressive body kit than the model in our spy shots, but it’s not a GTI. This looks more like a model equipped with the R-Line package.
VW will also give the car everything it needs to remain competitive in its segment until the end of the decade.
