There are also rumors saying the EV maker is looking to enter the electric pickup market. Unfortunately, late last year, Lucid confirmed to us that such a vehicle is not in the works for now, but with better facilities and more efficient production on the horizon, that could well change.
For now, the expansion will support the production of the Gravity SUV, expected to begin later this year.
“This expanded state-of-the-art plant will bring greater operational efficiency to our manufacturing process and allow us to continue to deliver our high-quality, groundbreaking electric vehicles to our customers,” said Steven David, senior VP of operations.
That operational efficiency will be key to Lucid’s success, and we’re glad to see progress.
