Actress Madhuri Dixit and her husband Shriram Nene have both been in the news recently for buying expensive, fast cars. Previously they had bought two Porsches one of which was a GT3 RS. Now Shriram Nene has taken delivery of a McLaren 750S coupe. The car finished in what looks like the MSO Tokyo Cyan shade, was recently spotted at a gas station and out on the roads.

McLaren 750S: Quick Look At It
The 750S is in fact, the successor to the McLaren 720S. It gets notable mechanical reworks over the 720S and comes with a more powerful engine, improved chassis and better aerodynamics. It comes in both Coupe and Spyder forms. Nene seems to have opted for the former. The manufacturer says this is their lightest and most powerful series-production car yet. Much engineering has gone into reducing the weight and improving the performance and dynamics of the car.
In the Indian market, the primary rival of the 750S is the Ferrari 296 GTB. Initially, less than 20 units of the 750S were allotted for our market, and Nene’s car belongs to the same batch.
The 750S is powered by the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo, flat-plane V8 engine (M840T) that used to do duty on the previous 720S, although with major revisions and improvements. The powertrain now makes 750hp and 800Nm and stays clear of any electric turbo or hybrid setups. The engine gets a new triple-layer head gasket, new twin fuel pumps, higher-pressure turbos and lighter pistons. A sports exhaust comes as a standard fitment.
0-200 kph is done in 7.2 seconds. The acceleration is claimed to be 10% faster than the predecessor’s. 0-100 kph comes in just 2.8 seconds. 100-200 kph takes another 4.4 seconds. The top speed, however, is slightly down and stands at 331 kph.
Talking about the weight savings, the 750S is around 30 kg lighter than the 720S. It now comes with a power-to-weight ratio of 587hp per tonne. This is considerably better than the Ferrari 296 GTB’s 560hp per tonne. It is to be noted that the GTB is a plug-in hybrid, unlike the 750S. The weight reduction stems from new carbon fibre-shelled alloys, carbon fibre-shelled race seats, and a trimmed instrument cluster.
The chassis has also been improved. The front track is now wider and the platform has a faster steering rack and lighter springs. There is even a new brake booster and an upgraded Proactive Chassis Control system. The supercar even gets a larger active rear wing to provide better downforce,
The cockpit gets a revised layout, a new 8.0-inch central touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, slicker buttons and controls, and even a suspension lift feature. When deployed, it takes just 4 seconds to lift the springs.

Shriram Nene had previously purchased two Porsches. In April last year, the couple purchased a Porsche 911 Turbo S worth 3.08 Crores. The car gets a 3.8-litre 6-cylinder petrol engine that produces 385 PS of power and 450 Nm. It is mated to an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission. 0-100 kph comes in just 2.6 seconds and the top speed is 330 kmph.
More recently, Madhuri Dixit and Dr Nene purchased a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. This car gets a tasteful spec and is powered by a 4.0-litre high revving naturally aspirated flat-six producing 525 PS. A track hero, the GT3 RS is currently rising to acceptance among celebrities and enthusiasts.
