Here we have a video of a person from Delhi who is selling food from the back of his new Kia Carens MPV.
The video has been shared by Harsimran Singh on his Instagram page. The vlogger in the video speaks to a person selling food from the back of his car. The car owner is actually selling homely food from the back of his Kia Carens. The owner can be heard saying that all the food he sells from the back of his car was made by his wife. The exact location from where car is located in Delhi is not clear.
The video does not mention how he actually started the whole business or the reason behind it. The video does mention that the Kia Carens seen here is a brand new one. The owner of the car actually folds the third row seats of the Carens and sells food to customers from the back. The video doesn’t mention anything about the car itself.
Kia Carens is a popular MPV in its segment. Carens is based on Seltos and within a year Kia managed to sell 1 lakh units. They even introduced an X-line variant to the Carens in the market recently. Although, Kia Carens is based on Seltos, the exterior design of the MPV doesn’t resemeble with the SUV. The MPV gets a premium looking exterior with LED DRLs, gloss black inserts on front grille, split headlamps, LED tail lamps and so on. Kia Carens is offered with a variety of engine and transmission options. There is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine generating 115 Ps and 144 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
It also comes with a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 115 Ps and a robust 250 Nm of torque. It gets a 6-speed intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Kia also offers a 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine option with the Carens. This engine generates 160 Ps and 253 Nm of torque. This engine is also offered with a 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT gearbox.
Kia is offering not just variety in terms of engine and transmission but variants too. Kia offers a total of 23 variants with the above mentioned engine and transmission combinations. Price for Kia Carens starts at Rs 10.45 lakh, ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 19.45 lakh, ex-showroom.
