Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: New TVC released

Maruti Suzuki last year launched their mid-size SUV Grand Vitara in the market. The SUV was jointly developed with Toyota and it now rivals with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun in the segment. The SUV has been doing great in terms of monthly sales. In January 2023, Maruti Suzuki sold 8,662 units of Grand Vitara SUV. The manufacturer has now come up with a new commercial for the all-new Grand Vitara SUV.

The video has been shared by Nexa on their YouTube channel. In this video, the exterior looks, features and interior design of the SUV along with the features are showcased. This advertisement particularly focusses on the adventure angle or the off-road angle of the SUV. One of the factor that differentiates Grand Vitara from other SUVs in this segment is that it comes with Suzuki’s legendary AWD system. It is called Suzuki AllGrip. This electronically controlled AWD system adapts itself on the basis of the surface condition. It is not a pure off-roader but, it can still do much more than a regular front-wheel drive SUV.

The SUV is seen ging through off-road sections and obstacles without much drama. This is all because of the intelligent AllGrip system. There is a selector knob in the cabin that can be used to change the mode depending on the surface. This would also change the way the AWD system in the new Grand Vitara works. Apart from the name, there was nothing in the SUV that would remind you of the older Grand Vitara SUV. This brand new SUV was developed from scratch while keeping many things in mind.

Th Grand Vitara gets a premium yet SUV like front fascia with a big grille, LED DRLs and chrome outlines. The headlamp also has been placed on the bumper like many modern-day SUVs. The SUV is sold via Nexa dealership as this is a premium offering. The top-end variant of the SUV comes with 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and at the rear, main attraction are the all LED tail lamps with a connecting LED bar running across the tailgate. Depending on the variant, Maruti Suzuki offers features like a panoramic sunroof, HUD, cruise control, dual-tone leather upholstery, floating touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, front ventilated seats, 360 degree camera and so on.

The SUV is available with a petrol engine option only. There is a strong hybrid and mild hybrid version on offer. The mild hybrid version uses a 1.5 litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 105 Ps and 136 Nm of peak torque. The SUV is available with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission option. The AllGrip AWD system is available with the manual version of the mild hybrid variant. The next is the strong hybrid variant which uses a 1.5 litre, three-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor. This version generates a combined power out of 115 Bhp. Price for Maruti Grand Vitara starts at Rs 10.45 lakh, ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 19.65 lakh, ex-showroom. Maruti also launched the CNG version of Grand Vitara starting at Rs 12.85 lakh, ex-showroom.
