Maruti Jimny was one of the most awaited products from India’s largest car manufacturer last year. It is an extremely popular model among off-road enthusiasts globally. Ever since its launch in India, we have seen several videos and images of modified Jimnys from different parts of the country. Here we have one such Jimny modified by Bimbra 4×4 that looks ready to go off-road.
The video has been uploaded by King Indian on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger talks about all the modifications Bimbra has done to the SUV. Starting with the front, the stock bumper on this SUV has been removed and replaced with an off-road spec aftermarket unit.
The metal bumper gets provision for shackles and has a gap for the winch behind the number plate. The front grille has been replaced too. It looks similar to the one that came with older versions of Jimny.
The headlamps on this SUV look stock; however, the fog lamps are aftermarket units. Coming to the side profile, we see a G-Wagen-like gloss black strip running across the length of the vehicle. The wheel arch cladding on the Jimny gets a Line-X coating which gives it a matte finish. A functional snorkel with a minimalistic design can also be seen here.
We see metal rock sliders, a metal roof rack with sand tracks, and jerry cans are also seen here. We see roof-mounted LED lights on this Jimny too. The other noticeable change on the side profile is the tires and wheels.
The stock alloys have been replaced with custom-built 15-inch units. These wheels are finished in gloss black with red accents matching the body color. The off-road spec tires give the SUV a muscular look.
What adds more to the look of the Jimny is the lift kit. As per the vlogger, the Jimny gets a 2-3 inch lift kit installed and that has increased the overall height and ground clearance of the SUV. This has helped the Jimny in achieving a butch look too.
At the rear, Jimny gets a metal off-road bumper with aftermarket LED tail lamps. There is a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate and we also see a metal ladder to access the roof. All these minor changes are actually giving the car a muscular look. We also see an LED light bar installed on the rear windscreen which acts as turn indicators, tail lamp, and reverse lamp.
The interiors on this SUV have also been customized. The fabric seat covers on the Jimny have been replaced with black and red-colored leatherette upholstery. Bimbra has also added extra padding under the seat to make the seat a lot more comfortable than they were before.
The car also gets a windbooster or throttle response controller to make the car a lot peppier than it already is. Other than this, a custom-built driver armrest with a storage compartment underneath can also be seen here. The finished product does look clean, and interested customers can actually approach Bimbra 4×4 to modify their Jimnys.
