The video starts with a close-up view of both the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the Mahindra Thar, parked side by side. The presenter then shows the process of tying the cars together using a tow rope, positioning the vehicles with their tow hooks on the left side. For the first tug of war, both SUVs were set to 4 High mode, and the engines were ready for the challenge. After which in the initial pull, the Mahindra Thar gains a slight advantage, managing to move the Jimny a bit. However, the Thar unexpectedly shuts off during the pull. At the same time, viewers notice smoke emanating from the engine bay of the Jimny, raising questions about its performance.

For the second round, the drivers swap seats, and the Jimny driver cheekily puts the Thar in 4×2 mode. This time, Jimny responds by pulling the Thar slightly but continues to emit heavy smoke from the engine. In the final tug of war, both cars are again set to 4 High mode. This time, the Mahindra Thar showcases its dominance, dragging the Jimny to a considerable distance and securing a landslide victory.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny comes with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine producing 104.8 PS of power and 134.2 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the Mahindra Thar offers a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 150 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque. In terms of sheer power, the Thar has an edge over the Jimny.

In terms of off-road capabilities both the Jimny and Thar excel in off-road capabilities. The Jimny’s compact size and Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro four-wheel-drive system provide excellent maneuverability, while the Thar’s 4×4 drivetrain and solid off-road features make it a capable performer on rough terrains.

Meanwhile, in terms of features, the top-spec variant of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny boasts a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, six airbags, ABS with EBD, and more.
