Road rage

Road rage has now become a very common occurrence on roads. One city that tops the list when it comes to such incidents is Bengaluru. Here we have one such incident from Bengaluru where men traveling in a Mahindra XUV300 got provoked by a car driver who did not offer them the way. The men traveling in the XUV300 actually damaged the car and broke the car’s window. Thankfully, the car that was damaged in this road rage incident had a dash camera installed. The whole incident went viral on the internet, and the cops immediately took action against the offenders.

The video has been shared by Bad Drivers of Bangalore on their YouTube channel. In this video, the owner of the car that had a dash camera installed was passing through a 4-lane highway with his family. We see many cars and heavy vehicles like trucks and buses going through the same road too. A Toyota Etios overtakes the car from the right lane as there was a truck right in front of it. Just behind the Etios was an XUV300 SUV. The driver was trying hard to squeeze the SUV through the tiny gap that the Etios driver opened.

However, the person with the dash camera in the car did not give way and continued to drive forward. This is what provoked the occupants in the XUV300. After the traffic got cleared, the XUV300 driver chased the other car and slowed down in front of the car. One of the occupants from the XUV300 started arguing with the driver of the other car, as seen in the video. He even attempted to jump out of the moving car to attack the other driver.

The XUV300 passenger asked them to stop the car next to the road so that they can argue about it. The road was not very well-lit, and the victim was traveling with his family. He drove to the nearest petrol pump and stopped there. The occupants came out and argued with them. The men in the XUV300 were so angry that they were asking him to come out of the vehicle. The driver kept on saying that he has a dash camera installed in the vehicle.

Road rage

As the driver kept on responding, the men got provoked even more, and finally, they damaged the driver-side door and broke the window glass. After this, the owner took note of their car’s number and posted the video online. Once the video went viral, the cops also came across the same and traced the occupants and owner. Bengaluru police took swift action and nabbed the culprits. They initially caught 2 men while others were on the run. The men who attacked the car finally apologized to the car owner and also agreed to pay for the damages. He thanked Bengaluru police for taking action and mentioned that he would like to let go of the matter.

One should always remain calm in such situations. The owner of the car with a dash camera should have remained calm and shouldn’t have responded to the miscreants in the XUV300. This is what worsened the matter here. If he had not responded, they might have left the spot without any damage. The XUV300 driver was clearly at fault as he was driving to cut through the lanes rashly. Also, if you find yourself in such a situation, call the police for help and do not engage with the other party in any type of argument.
