Mercedes-AMG GT 43 And GT 53 Refreshed With More Style And Luxury

The MBUX infotainment system has been updated and sports a fresh-looking interface, along with AMG-specific displays. Naturally, this is customizable. Mercedes has also blessed both the GT 43 and GT 53 with a standard electric sunroof, along with the option of a wireless charging pad for the rear seats.

Additionally, if you select the optional Burmester surround sound or 3D surround sound systems, Dolby Atmos is now included as standard.

Sadly, Mercedes-AMG hasn’t improved the twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engines. As such, the 43 variant still produces 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. As a reminder, this motor benefits from an electric compressor that contributes an additional 21 horses and 184 lb-ft. If you want more power, the GT 53 proffers 429 hp and 384 lb-ft, and receives the same electrified boost as the 43.

Pricing for the refreshed models is yet to be announced, but we anticipate the updated GT 4-Door will be priced similarly to the existing model, which has a starting MSRP of $92,500 before options.
